We still love typography!

The R&F font of the month for july is Ubuntu. It’s a relatively new font and has a nice tech feel to it. We have recently used it for Marketing company Actualis for their brand logo. I wouldn’t recommend using for big columns of text but for headlines and branding it’s ideal. It is included in Google’s web fonts so easily available for online use. It comes in Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, Light, Light Italic, Medium, Medium Italic and Condensed, so planty of weights to choose from.

Ubuntu (typeface)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ubuntu is an OpenType-based font family, designed to be a modern, humanist-style typeface[1] by London-based type foundryDalton Maag, with funding by Canonical Ltd. The font was under development for nearly nine months, with only a limited initial release through a beta program, until September 2010. It was then that it became the new default font of the Ubuntu operating system in Ubuntu 10.10.[2][3] Its designers include Vincent Connare, creator of the classic font Comic Sans.[4]

The Ubuntu font family is licensed under the Ubuntu Font Licence.[
