Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language readable and appealing. The arrangement of type involves selecting typefaces, point size, line length,
line-spacing (leading), letter-spacing (tracking), and adjusting the space within letters pairs (kerning).

We love typography – it can make or break a design project. It can be great to look at or bad. The way type is used can have a huge impact on the message and overall impact. Good typography is well considered – lots of space, awareness of weights and sizes for different emphasis, and choosing the right font for purpose.

Font of the month
Each month we will be sharing our favourite font and showing it in use. For June we have chosen Ganache – a great script font designed by Laura Worthington.

It’s modern, fun but also has a retro feel about it. We have used it on a recent infographic for marketing client Actualis. It works well mixed with a straight sans and really gives a lively feel.
